Bold Brand Experience for Craft Hot Honey Company
Jack Bear Honey needed to translate their rebellious, artisanal brand story into a compelling online shopping experience. A custom Shopify theme brings their "sweet, bold, doesn't play nice" personality to life, featuring interactive product showcases, recipe inspiration, customer storytelling, and seamless checkout.
The Problem
Jack Bear Honey was transitioning from selling at farmers markets to building a digital commerce presence. They had a strong brand story (former corporate folks who traded the grind for craft) and unique products (hot honey with bold flavors), but no way to communicate that online.
My Role
As the full-stack developer, I owned this project from concept to launch:
- Custom Theme Development: Built a Shopify theme from scratch that reflected their brand personality
- Front-End Implementation: Created interactive product showcases, recipe carousels, and custom UI components
- UX/UI Design: Designed user flows optimized for product education and conversion
- Brand Translation: Worked directly with founders to bring their story into the digital experience
